Toga College Party WOOOOOH

1) -General Engineering- Associate’s degree level provides solid preparation for any type of engineering degree at the bachelor’s level and if one continues to get their degree in this field they get more education on different type of engineering and business. Also use your invention in a field that has nothing to do with engineering.

-Psychology- Well modern psychologist do what the ancient Greeks do in which they study the mind by asking it questions (not literally...well kind of) asking these questions one learns why one acts a certain way, how one can deal with their struggles that placed in front of them, etc. A whole lot of "I'm in your mind" type stuff.

-Music Performance- As "kick back" of a class as one can get but that's not the reason I want it. This major allows one to practice their music to allow skill to develop. Also in this process one will have to come up with their own sound that signifies them.

2) -MIT- Best Math school, including Engineering, there is. Have been banned from certain competition due to the fact that they keep winning them. Also it is a private 4 year that only 12% of people get in who want to get in. They offer a Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral

-University of California: Berkeley- Public 4 year university that offers Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral, and First Professional. 22% of people who apply get in.

-University of the Arts- This is a private 4 year university.Offer Bachelor's and Master's degree. Only 8% of their students who got in had a 3.75 GPA in HS...Wow I thought it would be higher woohoo i can probably get in.

Note: Going to college seems challenging but oh well time to step it up I guess

Silly teacher, TRIGS are for students

1)Hmmm well transformations are somewhat simple for me well kind of. I remember some transformation like shift the graph left or right, I remember this because I shift the graph the opposite way that it tells me. Ex. (x+3) shift left 3. (x-3) shift right 3. The shift up or down is simple if it x-1 shift down 1 if it is x+1 shift up 1, pretty simple. Now one that sometimes tricks me is the negative in front of the x, Ex. -x,-(x-3),etc., which means that it shifts about the x axis basically upside down.

2)Well the unit circle itself is difficult but possible. One tip the was useful for me is that it goes in a pattern 6,4,3,2 then on the second quadrant it goes 3,4,6,2 then the third quadrant is 6,4,3,2 the fourth quadrant is 3,4,6,2 pretty simple some times. now knowing pi is kind of simple first quadrant they are all pi second quadrant pi is -1 of the denominator third is +1 of the denominator fourth quadrant is x2-1 of the denominator. The coordinates go (3/2, 1/2), (2/2, 2/2), (1/2, 3/2) now the order of the these coordinates are the same as pi but they follow the quadrant rules Q1(+,+) Q2(-,+) Q3(-,-) Q4(+,-). Now Cos=x Sin=y simple so Tan is Sin/Cos so it is y/x Csc and Sec are difficult for me but I found out a way to remind myself of how to tell the difference of the two, ok so the first letter is the opposite of what it is(ok I kind of confused myself but what I mean is this Csc is 1/Sin, Sec is 1/Cos see C=S and S=C). Cot is simple it is just the opposite of Tan so it is Cos/Sin, x/y. Simple kind of.

3)Ok now what confuses me is how to graph these things. I forget where they start where is the period, etc. I'm just terrible with them and that really sucks I don't remember how to graph the inverse. AAHHHHHHH this is just bothers me so much I need to remember but i get confused help!!!

Inverse and Logarithms

One thing that I understood is that to find the inverse function one must switch the x and y I also learned that once thats over get the y by itself. During this situation anything is pretty much possible to try to get the y by itself. For instance, in the problem y=2x/8 turns into x=2y/8 then when 8 is multiplied to both sides it turns to 8x=2y then when divided by 2 it turns to 4x=y which is the answer. I also learned that e and ln are basically the same thing so when set up like ln^e or vice versa it cancels out. I also learned the one to one thing which is if a function passes both the vertical an horizontal line test then its inverse function is a function but if it doesn't well then it is not.
I didn't understand what exactly to do when trying to get y by itself when you involve an ln or e . though i know they cancel sometimes I don't know exactly what to to when dividing or multiplying them to both sides.

Even and Odd FUNctions

An even function ,f(x)=f(-x), is when the functioned that would be graphed would be symmetrical along the y-axis. For instance normally the graph f(x)=x^2 would be on the 1st and 4th quadrant but with f(-x)=x^2 it is the same graph. An example of why this is would be is if one plugs in a number the input is changed to to its negative so if one plugs in 1 it would turn (-1) but a negative squared is a positive so it would have a different input due to the change but the same output. So f(x)=(1)^2=1 makes (1,1) and f(-x)=(-1)^2=1 makes(-1,1) both of these point are in the Graph of f(x)=x^2 and/or f(-x)=x^2 so this makes f(x)=f(-x) true.

Note:Would be a lot easier to prove if I new how put in pictures but oh well.

An odd function,f(-x)=-f(x), is when a graph is rotated 180 degrees and it still maintains the same graph thus saying that if one chooses a point from the graph then its opposite (x,y) are on the same graph. For in stance lets assume that a graph has the point (1,1) then the point (-1,-1) is on the same graph. An example is the equation f(x)=x it is just a diagnal line that hold the point (1,1) and various others, now when rotated it is still the same line and still hold the same point including,which it always included, the point (-1,-1) and other point that are opposite of the same point.

Note: This is as simple as I can put it and I can barely understand it but again it would be a lot better if I new how to put in pictures.
